This page describes the registration process for the 2007-2008* school year.

Class Offerings, Schedules and Tuition

Hinsdale Community Preschool will again be offering four programs designed to encourage each child to learn and grow in a developmentally appropriate environment using a child-centered, play-based approach to learning. Each program leads naturally to the next based on the child’s own development and needs. Your child must turn of age by September 1st in order to enroll for any of the classes listed below.

* Registration for extended day will take place in September for students already enrolled in the Senior programs

** Tuition shown above reflects the proposed tuition for the 2007-08 school year. Tuition may change slightly, but will officially be determined before the first payment is due.

Classes begin in September and end in May. Fees for HCP classes are subject to change.

In order to register for one of our programs, please complete the following:

bullet Read and sign the Agreement Letter. (Click here to download the form)
bulletReturn registration form, agreement letter, and $100 registration fee (per child, non-refundable) to the school's registration box or Vice President or mail to The Hinsdale Community Preschool Registrar, 4230 Ellington Ave., Western Springs, IL 60558.

Enrollment Policies

The HCP enrollment policy that describes the decision making process for registration is summarized below for your information.

Open Registration

Open registration is for new students not currently enrolled in any program. It began in late January after priority registration was complete. The preference order for new families on the waiting list is described below. All open spaces will be filled based on the wait list preference order listed below and upon receipt of the registration fee and documents. Forms not returned within 3 days of being contacted by the registrar may be in jeopardy of losing their spot to the next person on the waitlist.

Waiting List preference order shall be as follows:

  1. Any Senior who needs to repeat the Senior Class;
  2. A child who is currently enrolled in our school;
  3. A child whose sibling has attended our school and whose parent was an active member of a Board;
  4. A child whose sibling has attended our school;
  5. A child whose parent attended our school;
  6. A child whose name was on the previous year’s waiting list, and
  7. A new family to the school (selected in order of date of first contact with the registrar).

Waitlist

If you would like to remain on the waitlist for a class that is currently full, please make a note of this on the registration form. You will receive a confirmation letter with your guaranteed spot, along with notice that you are still on the waitlist for a class that is currently full. The registrar will contact you if an opening in a full class becomes available.
